Play We provide an open-ended play based learning environment that is focused on children’s individual interests and needs. Children attending The Avenue can discover and explore through play in an unhurried and relaxed manner. We respect that children have a voice and the power to make decisions regarding their play and we believe that childhood is about fun and the freedom to play. |

Environment Children’s happiness and safety is paramount to us and we believe that children learn best in a relaxed, nourishing and natural environment. The Avenue encourages the use of recycled materials and we believe that the worlds’ environment needs to be protected. This belief is supported by our water, energy and resource saving practices. Children attending The Avenue are also encouraged to respect themselves, each other and their environment through personal hygiene practices and looking after their toys, equipment and belongings. |

Relationships Here at The Avenue, we believe that it is important for everybody to feel welcome, wanted and consider everyone as equal, regardless of nationality, gender, appearance, religion, class or beliefs. We believe that family takes on the most important role in a child’s life and value positive relationships between children, staff and families. The involvement of families in all aspects of their children’s everyday day experiences such as cooking, reading or learning stories is encouraged. |

Community We don't just have a sense of our community - we exist because of it. We thrive on the development of positive relationships and embrace the
diverse cultural input and learning’s that our families provide. We are actively involved in nurturing our immediate environment as well as our broader community. Through working bees, incursions, in-services and networking with local organisations, our unique and vibrant community is the cornerstone of The Avenue. |
